Dispatch Policy

1.1 While every effort will be made to ensure that all items shown are in stock we offer no guarantee of availability and this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for sale. Goods are normally dispatched within 48 hours. If we are unable to despatch your order within 7 days, we will contact you by e-mail with an estimated despatch date and offer you the option of cancelling the order. 1.2 This website offers a delivery service to customers in mainland UK addresses. We can also deliver to the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney and Shetland; Scottish Islands and Highlands, BFPO addresses, or the Republic of Ireland. Delivery to these geographical regions will however incur an additional postage charge. All goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over on delivery. 1.3 We take every step possible to ensure goods are delivered within the estimated time scales, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to circumstances beyond our control. Ellenbray shall not be under any liability for delay or failure to deliver the products within estimated timescales under any circumstances. 1.4 Risk of loss and damage of products passes to you on the date when the products are delivered or on the date of first attempted delivery by us.

Payment, Prices and Tax

2.1 We accept most major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard and Switch. When ordering you must provide us with your exact billing address and telephone number, matching the address and phone number your credit card bank has on file for you. Incorrect information will cause a delay in processing your order. Your order will only be processed once authorisation of your credit card has been properly received and confirmation of stock availability. Goods are subject to availability. In the event that goods are unavailable, you will be informed at the earliest opportunity. If goods have been paid for a full refund will be issued. You may also pay by cheque or postal order although we cannot dispatch the goods until payment has been cleared which can take at least 7 working days. 2.2 You will be charged at the price advertised on this website at the time we receive your order apart from the following exception: While we try and ensure the accuracy of all prices on our website, errors invariably occur. If an error in the price of goods you have ordered is discovered, we will inform you at the earliest available opportunity and give you the option of continuing your order at the correct price or cancelling the transaction completely. If we are unable to contact you we will have to treat the order as cancelled. If you wish to cancel the order and the item(s) have been paid for, you will receive a full refund at the earliest opportunity. 2.3 Payment can be made by any credit or debit card and all orders must be placed through our secure shopping cart. Our customer service team will be available in the event that you experience any difficulties. 2.4 Title to any products you order on this website shall pass to you on delivery of the products provided that we have processed and received payment in full for the products. 2.5 The prices shown are in GBP and include VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rates but exclude delivery charges. 2.6 The price shown for the goods excludes postage and packing unless specifically stated. The charges for postage and packing are shown in the Checkout once you have entered the country and method of delivery and before you are asked to confirm the order. The price you pay will include VAT for all deliveries within the European Union. For deliveries outside EU, VAT will be deducted from the total price. Delivery to non-European countries may result in import duties payable on receipt of the goods. You will be liable for these duties.

Cancellation and Returns

3.1 We offer a 14-day money back guarantee on any item that is unused and in as-new condition. This is valid from the date the item was purchased from us. 3.2   Occasionally, manufacturers may change, alter or refine product specifications. In this event we will do our best to offer you a substitute of the same or better quality, at the same price. Any replacement item you are unhappy with can be returned to us in accordance with our 14-day money back guarantee. Where applicable, an order may be cancelled in accordance with your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations 3.3 All size and measurement specifications supplied are approximate, subject to change and often provided by the manufacturer. However all due care and attention is taken by Ellenbray Press to ensure that these are as accurate as possible 3.4 The cost of post & packing will not be refunded.

Returning Faulty Goods

In the unlikely event that an item is not as described or is faulty or damaged, we will request the item back and a replacement or full refund will be given on receipt and proof of purchase. The customer is advised to obtain recorded delivery status or proof of posting.

Colours

4.1 The colour of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to limitations of browser software and monitors.

Confidentiality

5.1 All confidential information, including credit card details, are held securely and only transmitted in encrypted form. Customer details are not passed to third parties and are used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Indemnity

6.1 You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site.

Jurisdiction

7.1 The Contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Consumer Rights

8.1 None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

Distance Selling Regulation

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, you have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased on this website for a full refund.

You have the right to cancel your purchase at any time either before or up to 14 days following the day you receive the goods by:

  • e-mailing us at ellenbray@aol.com stating your name, a description of the goods or services concerned and the order number of the cancelled order, or
  • Phoning us on 01373 462139 (Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm excluding public holidays) - please have your order reference number and delivery details to hand.

If you exercise your right to cancel your order after the goods have been despatched, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Ellenbray at your own risk and cost, therefore, we strongly recommend you use an insured delivery method such as Royal Mail Special Delivery. All returns are subject to the following conditions, except where the goods are faulty or incorrectly described on the website.

  • Your product must be complete and in 'as new' condition (e.g. if you have opened the box to examine the product you must have done so without damaging or marking the product or packaging).
  • It should be returned with the original box, packing and accessories you received with it.
  • A proof of purchase must be supplied.
  • Where we have made a charge for postage, this will be deducted from your refund if the goods have been despatched to you.

WEEE INFORMATION

 

Each year in the UK we go throw away over 1.2 million tonnes of electrical and electronic waste. That is the equivalent of 150 thousand double decker buses!

This increase is mainly down to:

  • new technologies being developed
  • affluent society
  • throw away lifestyle

Over 75% of waste electrical goods end up in landfill, where lead and other toxins contained in the electrical goods can cause soil and water contamination.

This can have a very harmful effect on natural habitat, wildlife and also human health. When situated near populated areas these toxins can cause problems to communities as their water and soil is polluted.

Many of the electrical items that we throw away can be repaired or recycled. Recycling items helps to save natural finite resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending waste electrical goods to landfill.

To minimise our impact on this earth and to protect the environment for future generations it is important that we are all aware of the consequences of our actions and how we can make a difference.

This is a lot of electrical waste! So to reduce the amount of electrical items going to landfill the government has introduced some new regulations called


The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations.

Electrical and Electronic Equipment that was made after 13 August 2005 should display this symbol on the packaging or product. Either send the product to be repaired and reused or recycle it at your nearest recycle centre.

 

 

Ellenbray have joined and contributed to a national scheme that gives our customers access to a network of Designated Collection Facilities (DCFs) around the UK.  These DCF’s are located at most Council Household Waste Recycling Centres.

When you purchase a new electrical item from Ellenbray you will be able to dispose of the old one free of charge but only via the Designated Collection Facilities. The waste will then be treated so that hazardous elements cannot contaminate the environment, and where possible the item will be recycled.

Free delivery available on orders over £50 (2-5 working day delivery)

Orders placed with a value over £50 qualify for our free UK Mainland and Isle of Wight delivery service. This is a 2-5 working day service and deliveries will be made by courier.               

For UK and Isle of Weight Customers All Items are sent via FedEx Next day delivery. Heavy or bulky items are shipped via FedEx; please phone or email to confirm courier cost for large bulky items.

All Items: Small items will be dispatched within two to five working days by FedEx. Larger items will be dispatched within two to five working days via a two day courier service. A next day service is available upon request but will be subject to an extra charge. All orders are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock we will contact you via telephone so please put you phone number on your order details.
